Daniel Forster & Rob Migliaccio
In tandem with Riding the Wind, we have invited Daniel Forster and Rob Migliaccio to look at sailing on the collegiate level and the international stage featuring a selection of publication and award-winning photographs in Voyages and Victories. For decades, Daniel has created captivating images of world-class sailing events and competitions including the Olympics for clients and publications worldwide. An advocate for community and collegiate sailing, Rob portrays the action, spirit, and emotion of parts of the sailing community that offer competition and accessibility to many.
Daniel Forster:

Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez 2010
Swiss born photographer, Daniel Forster has made a career of photographing sailing competitions around the world. He has covered thirteen America’s Cups and twelve Olympic Games along with doing the Uruguay to England leg of the Whitbread Round the World Race on board the UBS Switzerland as a crew member and photographer in 1986. Along with his many other assignments Daniel currently is one of the official photographers in charge of the Rolex Yachting events, covering regattas around the world. Daniel currently resides in Jamestown, RI
Rob Migliaccio:
Rob Migliaccio, is at heart a portrait photographer with numerous publication credits who’s real passion is for the sailers, not the sailboats. He presents an “up close and personal” look at the athletes capturing the energy and determination of the people that make sailing so exciting. He is also a moderator for several forums at Nikonians.org the worldwide home for Nikon® enthusiasts. Rob a longtime Barrington resident currently resides in Bristol, RI
