Update from the Director…
November 2021… the change of seasons is upon us and as we wait for the arrival of the holiday season we are preparing for our Open Member exhibition that will close out our 2021 exhibition schedule.
Announcements will be going out shortly for this annual Open Members’ Exhibition opening on November 18th and running through the end of the year. This year we are looking to feature Futures and Favorites in this un-juried presentation. Members can submit their favorite photographs or submit new work from projects in progress. This is an opportunity to exhibit and get feedback on work that may represent future directions in your work… or exhibit your all time favorite pictures. Opportunities for individual portfolio/project reviews will be offered. Details below…
Our current exhibition, All Together Now , a look at ideas surrounding community juried by Jan Howard, continues through November 12th.
The gallery is open Thursdays – Saturdays Noon – 6:00pm and our schedule continues as a mix of both live and online exhibitions. For the fully vaccinated our next in person Print Share will be held on November 10th.

Next in the Gallery – a Call for Entries
Open Members’ Exhibition: Futures and Favorites
This annual un-juried exhibition is open to members at all levels and free to exhibiting members and above. Members are invited to deliver 3 photographs for this “off the wall” exhibition. We will hang as much work as fits and replace work as it sells. This unjuried member exhibition will open on November 18th and run through the end of the year. This year we are looking to feature new work, experiments and explorations that may represent future directions or projects in development, or you can submit your all time personal favorites for inclusion in this un-juried presentation of Member’s Futures and Favorites.
Opportunities for individual portfolio/project reviews will be offered via Zoom or live in the gallery. Schedule and registration information will be posted shortly for these 20 minute individual review sessions.

All Together Now: Jan Howard, Juror
As 2021 rolled out in front of us and building on our general theme of moving forward, we looked forward to a world renewed and launched a Call for Entries to explore ideas of community. We were curious to see how thinking may have changed in a post pandemic world. This call for photography was juried by Jan Howard, Houghton P. Metcalf Jr. Curator of Prints, Drawings and Photographs at the RISD Museum and open to all styles and photographic processes. The resulting exhibition brings together 47 images from across the United States and Canada presenting a peek into a diverse cross section communities in 2021. While we have yet to see the end of COVID-19 we anticipated, we welcome you come to the gallery to view the exhibition in person before it closes on November 12th.

Our next in person Print Share & Peer Review session is scheduled for November 10th – with the last one of the year being held on December 8th in the gallery. These in person opportunities are open to anyone fully vaccinated, to share and comment on work with fellow members and enthusiasts. Bring your prints to this monthly event which is scheduled for the second Wednesday of each month and starts at 6:30pm. Check the events section on our website for more information and updates.

A new year and a whole new schedule of exhibitions and programing… 2022 is just around the corner and we will be ready and hope to see more of you in person in the new year.
