Our 5th Annual Juried Member exhibition continues in the Gallery through February 9th. Be sure to stop in the gallery to see this remarkable collection of member work assembled by Jessica Burko. The exhibition is also available on our website and includes a 360˚ virtual walkthrough.
Next in the Gallery is the next installment in our Behind the Lens Exhibition Series This exhibition features: Selections from ongoing projects by Sage Brousseau, Lana Z Caplan, Tresha Glenister, Diana Nicholette Jeon, Marcy Juran and Susan Keiser. to present six different approaches to photographic practice and how photographs can speak to us. The exhibition will open on February 15th and includes a talk and book signing event at 2:00pm on February 17th with Lana Z Caplan. Details on this and a zoom based talk with all the featured artists will be available shortly.
We launched “Beyond the Photograph” a call for entries to explore AI generated or augmented images. The call is open to work in any media that presents a photorealistic image. Full details are available on our website
2024 is shaping up to be a year like no other… As you are reading this, I am fortunate enough to be in Cuba with a rare invitation to exhibit my own work in the city of Camagüey. The image above is one of twenty of my images that have been selected for “Rites of Memory” a solo exhibition that will be opening in Camagüey in early February. Truly a unique opportunity by itself and plans have been made for the exhibition to travel to galleries in several other cities throughout Cuba. Proof (at least personally) that 2024 will be a year like no other…

Exhibition catalogs are a new program launched in 2023 and are available for most of our exhibitions. Catalogs are available in the gallery in limited quantities and links to order can be found on the respective exhibition pages and collected here to be ordered for home delivery

Print Share:
Our next Print Share & Peer Review session is scheduled for February 14th.
These peer review sessions are open to interested in sharing and commenting on work with fellow members and enthusiasts. Bring your prints to this monthly event which is generally scheduled for the First Wednesday of each month and starts at 6:30pm. Check the events section on our website for more information and updates.
Individual Portfolio/Project Reviews:
Individual feedback opportunities are available on an ongoing basis in four different formats for 2023. These review sessions can be used to preview new work, share ideas and explore future directions or projects in development. Appointments can be scheduled online for Zoom or in person sessions at www.riphotocenter.org/portfolio-reviews-and-consultations
Registration is open for our annual 20 minute individual Member review sessions.
We are also offering 45 minute one on one sessions open to the public via zoom or in person at the Gallery
New for 2022 we will also be offering “Lunch with the Director” for those interested in a more immersive conversations about your work and your goals. Lunch is included with these two hour more casual sessions. Questions can be directed to gallery@riphotocenter.org
