Update from the Director…
December 2022, Our juried member exhibition is just around the corner…
Our Fourth Annual Juried Members’ Exhibition will open on December 15th as our year end holiday exhibition. As we close out another successful year we are excited have this opportunity to feature the work of our members, and work on exhibit will be available to take home at the time of purchase. I would like to extend a special thanks to our juror, Kristin S. Street for her efforts and to all the Members who entered work to make this an engaging and inspiring year end event. Membership at the Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts comes with many benefits including the opportunity to participate in this and our two other unique annual member exhibitions. Don’t miss out on future opportunities… Included among the other member benefits is our monthly Print Share & Peer Review series. The next session is scheduled for November 30th and then we will return to our regular second Wednesday schedule with the following meeting on December 14th, bring some prints to share and feel free to bring a friend or two…
As the year comes to a close, I want to acknowledge and thank all the Members who support our ongoing programing, without you we simply couldn’t go on. I also want to thank all the visiting photographers who exhibited their work and all the curators who worked with us in 2022. I am happy to report we have some unique and exciting opportunities as we move forward into 2023. These include a photo based treasure hunt, a call for entries to take a Snapshot of the United States and our 9th International Call for Entries, to be juried by and a whole lot more…
I hope you all have a happy holiday season and we will be releasing more details in January on programing coming in 2023. In the meantime…
