August Updates, Events and Calls for Entries..
Join us on August 8th from 7:00 – 9:00 pm for our next Salon with Ron Rosenstock. Ron will be presenting before and after shots to explain his capture and post-processing process. Come early to take in his exhibition or talk to Ron about his many travel opportunities.
Opening on Gallery Night August 16th will be The Director’s show: Experiments in Photography. The Show will feature a selection of less conventional photography by David DeMelim, Director of the RI Center for Photographic Arts. The Exhibition will also include guest artist John deMelim, exhibiting new work with a mix of photo-based printmaking and rarely exhibited photographs.
August 22nd we will be hosting our next Print Share from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Bring some prints to share for an informal peer review. A great chance to get and give feedback on new work or to find a new direction to explore in your work. Reviews for exhibiting membership are also available.
Opening on Gallery Night September 20th will be a solo presentation of “Balancing Cultures” by Jerry Takigawa paired with our First Juried Members Exhibition in the main gallery. The call for this Juried Members Show closes on August 27th, don’t miss out! Annu Palakunnathu Matthew will be the juror for this exhibition. Entry is free for members at the exhibiting level or higher, $20 for Community Members.
The One Gun Gone Call for Entries is on CaFE for an exhibition opening on Gallery Night October 18th.
