The Director’s Exhibition reimagined and hosted off site.

The tradition at the Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts has been to start the new year off with The Director’s Choice Exhibition. This is an annual invitational exhibition featuring work I am interested in, artists I am following or the work of the jurors and curators we will be working with. The exhibition serves as a way to introduce new photographers and new ideas to our community. Typically I use it to introduce the themes that will be explored in more detail through the rest of the year’s exhibition cycle and is the one exhibition I curate myself… but not this year. 

For 2021 we have opted to start the year off with an exhibition of member work celebrating images of Joy, Wonder and Hope. We hope this juried exhibition will help everyone put 2020 firmly in the rearview mirror and start 2021 off on a positive note. Fragments of Time – at Fountain St gallery
