From the Juror: Jessica Burko
I was delighted to have the opportunity to view work by so many RICPA members. It was impressive to see the wide range of genres and subject matter and the whole submission pool was a strong representation of talent and creativity. I truly had a difficult time selecting work to be included. The works I selected for the exhibition are both visually strong and resonate in way that evokes emotion and speaks to abstract thought. I was also drawn to work that documented real and imagined moments in time, space, and life. The vibrancy of palette in some of the images, juxtaposed with the quiet of others, create a vibrant visual experience. – Jessica Burko
