While one image can speak 1000 words a properly sequenced set of photographs can tell a fantastic story. Learn visual story telling with Michael Itkoff, co-founder of Daylight Books.
WORKSHOP:
Explore Visual Storytelling and Photo Books
Creating a strong portfolio is a must for any aspiring professional photographer to showcase their best and most up-to-date work. Turning your project into a book is the next step.
In this intensive full day workshop, each student’s photographs are workshopped and critiqued. Emphasis is placed on the form/content relationship within each image as well as the techniques required to create the strongest possible sequence.
Designed for both students and professionals interested in making their project into a photography book, projects can be of any nature, personal, thematic, documentary etc. The main goal of the workshop is an edited and sequenced portfolio of images ready to present to publishers. This workshop provides inside access to Daylight Publishing and participants will gain insight into the world of photography book publishing in general.
This workshop facilitated by Michael Itkoff of Daylight Books educates photographers about the medium of the photo book as a way to disseminate and exhibit their photographic projects. Participants are asked to bring their printed photography projects and any project elements to the workshop where Michael and the group will assist in editing, sequencing, and preparing the project for presentation to publishers and/or for self-publishing.
Ultimately, the workshop is aimed at refining participating photographers’ portfolios into book-ready propositions and offering access to Daylight’s publishers for support demystifying the publishing and book-making processes.

Hello,
We apologize for the confusing charge, it was a setup error. A couple of e-mail messages sent to this address came back undeliverable, so we are hoping you will check the comment reply. It is fixed and there is no shipping charge for the workshop of course.
