This an exhibit of photographs from several significant political marches and movements. These include the 2017 Women’s March, Black Lives Matter, March for Our Lives, Climate Strike, Standing Rock Movement, and March for Science.
The photographers, mostly women and masters of their craft, have captured dramatic moments in key struggles of our time. This show is about the need to speak out, the determination to fight for justice, and to declare the importance of our differences.
This show was created and co-curated by photographers and activists Ellen Feldman and Marky Kauffmann. Its inaugural showing took place at the Davis Orton Gallery in Hudson, NY in 2018. This second presentation at the Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts in Providence, RI was timed to coincide with the 2020 Presidential Election.
This exhibit is a clarion call to act this fall to achieve the change we need, and of course to vote in the upcoming election!
